Kamran Malik
President
Mr. Malik started his career with Telstra, Australia in 1989 and since then has been associated with the Telecom industry. After working for Telstra for more than 5 years in business development and marketing, Mr. Malik came back to Pakistan and joined Supernet, Pakistan’s first private sector data network company, in 1995 as Head of Marketing and Sales. In 1997, he was handpicked by Global One, an international joint venture between Sprint, France Telecom and Deutsche Telecom to lead their business development efforts in Pakistan. In the year 2000, he joined Saif Group as Executive Director, Telecom Business Development. Besides other key project development Mr. Malik was instrumental in the planning and development of the TW1 International submarine fiber optic network. Mr. Malik has been associated with Transworld since its inception and currently serves as its President.
Naveed Malik
EVP Finance
Mr. Malik joined Transworld in December 2010. He is currently working as EVP Finance. He is a Chartered Accountant with hands on experience of financial management, banking, financial advisory, auditing, accounting and corporate affairs. He has experience in business development, resource planning, monitoring and financial planning and structuring of projects in power generation, manufacturing, healthcare, telecommunication, real estate and environmental projects with emphasis on CDM (Clean Development Mechanism) consideration. Before joining us, Mr. Malik has served at Anjum Asim Shahid Rehman (Grand Thoroton), Bank Alfalah Ltd., Saif Telecom Ltd., Utopia Developers (Pvt.) Ltd., Saif Power and most recently at Saif Holding Ltd.
Abdul Rehman Durwaish
Vice President – Business Development
Mr. Durwaish is a trained professional with Techno Commercial background having more than 34 years of experience in the field of ICT & Telecommunications. He joined TWA in April 2014 and is heading Business Development unit with additional sales role of VP Commercial. Prior to joining TWA, Mr. Durwaish has served in PTCL (the incumbent telco of Pakistan) for over 26 years. He was an Executive Vice President – PTCL for Corporate Services & Sales for the South Zone. He started his Telecom career in PTCL, as Assistant Divisional Engineer in International Transmission and then moved to senior positions in Corporate Strategy, Churn Management, Corporate Sales and Business Development as Manager, General Manager & Executive Vice President. Mr. Durwaish has done his Masters in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Arlington, USA and an Executive MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan.
Syed Amiruddin
EVP Engineering
Mr. Amiruddin joined Transworld in August 2007. He is currently working as EVP Engineering. He has been an active member of the Internet and Data Communication Community since 1995. He was a member of the founding team at Cybernet. He also worked as a senior consultant to the high-tech industry helping high profile customers in designing their Data Networks. Mr. Amiruddin maintains a technical head role for network engineering, operations and advisory role for new technology and strategic initiatives at the company; where he served on the IP, MPLS, ATM, FR and TDM Engineering teams. Mr. Amiruddin holds a Masters of Science degree in Computer Science from Pakistan.
Syed Mukhtar Ahmad
Technical Advisor Operations
Mr. Mukhtar possesses rich telecommunications experience in diverse disciplines such as radio, microwave, satellite, digital switching, optical fiber and submarine Optical fiber systems. He served Pakistan Telecommunications Company Ltd and its erstwhile predecessor organizations Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation and Pakistan Telephone and Telegraph Department for almost 36 years. His last position was Director General/ Executive Vice President International Communications for two years. He was member Management Committee of the SEA-ME-WE-3 and SEA-ME-WE-4 International submarine Optical fiber cable systems and also first Vice Chairperson of SEA-ME-WE-4 Management committee. He also served on deputation for ten 10 years in Ministry of Interior Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as Telecommunications expert to develop their security forces Kingdom wise H.F, VHF, Paging, monitoring / surveillance and secure fax networks as well private mobile networks for the Royalty. He is life member of Pakistan Engineering Council. After his retirement, he joined Saif Telecom Ltd as Advisor in April 2005. He holds B.Sc. Electrical Engineering degree from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore and postgraduate qualification in Telecommunication Engineering.
